The WWF Was the greatest Wrestling Company Ever. It retained some of that greatness when it became the WWE. However, mistakes can and will be made, regardless of how good a product is. That's just life.
So, here are the Top 8 Worst Decisions the WWE has Ever Made.
#8 - Over-sexulazation: During The Attitude Era, as part of their formula for Edgy Programing, the WWE (then WWF) would overly-sexualize the Women of the company. I absolutely Hated this and thought it was unnecessary. Sure some sexualization is okay (I'm no prude), but only in tiny doses and rare. The Over-sexualzation continued though the Ruthless Aggression Era, though it wasn't used as much. The Over-sexualzation Finally stopped in 2007. And Don't get me started with WWF/WWE's Disgusting Playboy Alliance. Seriously, The WWF/WWE would've done just fine without This aspect. Plus, it alienated much of the audience, so there's that.
#7 - Vince McMahon's NXT Hostile Takeover: In 2021, Vince McMahon, who became more power hungry, took over NXT from Triple H, and turned the Best Brand in WWE into Crap, just like he did with RAW and Smackdown. First the look was changed, then the booking, then the bad treatment of it's Superstars. Soon NXT became a lesser carbon copy of RAW and Smackdown. And Worse, many who were Already disenfranchised with the WWE's product Permanently switched to AEW, The Competition!! Thankfully NXT 2.0 would only last a Year, as when McMahon was forced to resign from the WWE the following Year, NXT slowly reverted back to what it once was - The Very Best of the WWE in the Modern Era.
#6 - Booking Missteps of 1995: 1995 was a decent year for The WWF, though a buncha missteps prevented it from being a super profitable one. Mistakes like Diesel's Nearly Year Long Reign as Champion, Making Mabel of Men on a Mission The King of the Ring Instead of the Undertaker, And Forcing The Leader of the New Generation, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, into a Mid-Card Role. Stupid. Plus, WWF Still had the Shadow of the Steroid Scandal hanging over them. Worse, In September, the WWF's Chief Rival, the WCW, launched their Own Wrestling Show, Monday Nitro, which felt superior to RAW. While the WWF's financial situation was decent, It wasn't growing at the normal rate. Something that Would've been prevented had the WWF not made the mentioned mistakes. I personally enjoyed WWF in '95, despite it's flaws.
#5 - The McMahon Steroid Scandal: In the early-90's, Vince McMahon and the WWF were embroiled in a Steroid Scandal, where the Company allowed the use of steroids for some of their Wrestlers....Including The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan. Vince McMahon went to trial and several WWF Superstars testified. News of this scandal reached world wide and because of this, Vince McMahon and the WWF's reputation was tarnished. Soon, Every moral-minded Wrestling fan (which, back in the early-90s, was about 30% of WWF fans) stopped watching WWF and watched their Main Competition, WCW instead. WWF lost fans, trust, and revenue. They would briefly recover in '94, but that recovery was short lived thanks to big mistakes made in '95 (see previous). Had McMahon Not been so obsessed with big buff guys, this scandal woudnt've happened and the WWF would've been better off for it.
#4 - Over-reliance of Part-Time Champions: Starting in 2017, WWE thought it'd be a Great Idea to make Part-Timers World Champions, With Brock Lesnar being the most infamous. The issue with this is that The World Championship Must be defended every Pay-Per-View/Premium Live Event and Part-Timers weren't required to do this, so they didn't. This made these Events feel incomplete. Not to mention, that without the World Champion, the PPVs/PLEs didn't generate as much revenue. Now, thankfully, the WWE has learned from this and every World Champion since 2022 have been Full-Timers.
#3 - Ignoring Fan Demand: The WWE has been doing this since the Mid-2000's. From Ignoring Booking Complaints to Refusing to Push Fan Favorite Wrestlers. Speaking of Fan Favorite Wrestlers, WWE also had/has a habit of wasting them or just plain firing them. Now, under Endeaver and TKO, the ignoring of the fsns has become pure open disdain for them. To put it simply- Whatever The Fans Want, TKO Will Just Flip Them Off and Laugh at Them. Endeaver Sucks!!!! TKO Sucks!!!!
#2 - The Saudi Alliance: In 2018, The WWE, lead by Vince McMahon, signed a Multi-Year Deal with Saudi Arabia. The Issue, The Saudi Government Doesn't Believe in Civil Liberties, forcing the WWE to play by Their Rules while they're there. At first the shows were just minor side events, held once, twice a year. But ever since the Endeavor/TKO Takeover, Major Events have been taking place there. Earlier this year, WWE held the one of it's Big PPVs/PLEs, The Royal Rumble, there. And Worse,Next Year, Saudi Arabia will be hosting WrestleMania, The Flagship PPV/PLE. Ugh! What a Horrid time to be a WWE Fan.
#1 - The Selling of WWE: Due to sexual abuse allegations, Vince McMahon stepped down as chairman and CEO of WWE in 2022, Triple H was put in charge and things were going great. Unfortunately, the good times wouldn't last and Vince McMahon returned to sell the company. He sold it to Endeavor (who also owned the UFC) and they formed 'TKO Group Holdings' to run the Company. Long story short, TKO turned WWE into a absolute Mess with Garbage Booking, Misusing and Firing of Great Talent, Over-reliance on Celeb Involvement, and Lame Creative. The deal with Netflix, Newfound Ad Fetishism, and the Continuing Alliance with Saudi Arabia are also damning them. Vince McMahon returning to sell the company Was the Absolute Worst Thing In The History of Professional Wrestling. Period!!! This is NOT the Wrestling Company that I grew up with.

Had these Grave Mistakes been avoided, The WWE would've been a way better product today.
