Master List - Every Single Arcade Game That I've Played

On this edition of Master List, I've decided to make a list of Arcade Games that I've played. Why? Because I wanna Chronicle and Archive my experiences playing Arcade games.

Now, this list will be divided into 3 sections - Games I played at the Arcade on an Actual Cabinet, Games I played though Compilations, and Games I played though emulation

Alrighty, let's get crackin'.

Games I Played in an Actual Arcade.

The Arcade - When I was younger I used to visit Arcades both locally and in Atlantic City, when my Family used to go there. I also visited the Lotto Hut, a small convenience store which had Arcade games. From 1990 - 1995, I was an avid Arcade Gamer. When I discovered Emulation in 2002, I played Arcade Games on my Computer via the MAME Emulator. Nowadays, I play Arcade Titles on my Home Consoles via Compilation Games and Game Downloads.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - First played this back in 1990 and was the first Arcade game that I've ever played. I was a big Ninja Turtles fan back then, so I had a blast playing this. I was always Michaelangelo, who was my favorite Turtle.

The Simpsons - Played this in 1990 at an Arcade in Atlantic City. Being a Konami title, like with TMNT, this game is tough as nails.

Vs  Super Mario Bros. - In 1991, when my Late-Grandparents took me to Atlantic City, I spotted this game at the Arcade. I loved Super Mario Bros. and I had to play it. But, to my shock, this game destroyed me. Turns out what I thought was a straight Arcade port of SMB1, turned out to be a mix between Mario 1 and The Lost Levels, only with lesser Power-Ups.

Street Fighter II - Played this at the Lotto Hut back in 1993. I This was my first experience playing a fighting game on an Arcade Cabinet

Fatal Fury 2 - My first experience playing not only a Fatal Fury game, but an SNK game. I Did read about this game in Magazines, but never had a chance to play until that time.

World Heroes - Another game I played at the Lotto Hut in 1993. I've never heard of the game until that time and I enjoyed playing it. It's eccentric cast of characters were really fun to play as.

Mortal Kombat - Played this at The Lotto Hutt in 1993 and was my first experience with the franchise. The CPU beat the hell of me. lol. Got the Genesis port a year later.

Street Fighter II: Campion Edition - Played at the Lotto Hut in 1994, months after getting the Sega Genesis port. I played as the bosses mostly in this one.

Mortal Kombat II - I don't remember where I played this game, but I think it was sometime in 1994.

Mortal Kombat 3 - Played this at a Local Arcade in the summer of '95, sometime before I saw the Mortal Kombat Movie with my late Uncle Bob (god rest his soul) and Cousin.

Games I Played Through Compilations {{Compilations with the Home Console Versions Not Included!}}

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection - For the PS2, had Modified Arcade ports of Hyper Street Fighter II and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. This was my first experience with Street Fighter III.

Street Fighter Alpha Anthology - For the PS2, Had Modified Arcade Ports of All of The Street Fighter Alpha Games, plus Super Gem Fighter. It was cool to have all of the Alpha Gsmes in one collection. I also enjoyed Super Gem Fighter.

Mega Man: The Power Battles - Played this, and it's Sequel, as part of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the PS2. Played them on an Emulator first.

Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters When I first heard of This game and it's prequel, I was dying to play, but my local Arcades didn't have them, so years later, these 2 games were 2 of the games I downloaded though emulation. Needless to say, as a Mega Man fan, I loved playing them.

Sonic Championship aka Sonic The Fighters - Sonic's very first Fighting Game. Played this via the Sonic Gems Collection for the Gamecube. A decent fighting game that incorporates the abilities of it's characters. I find it Strange how this game never got a port for the Sega Saturn.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection - One of the very first Nintendo Switch Games I ever got. While it was great having almost all of the classic titles, I really wish Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper were included in this collection.

Capcom Beat 'em-Up Bundle - Downloaded this for the Switch. This game has most of Capcom's greatest Beat'em-Ups, including Final Fight, which is the big reason I bought this collection. It also has some titles that I haven't heard of until that time such as Battle Circuit.

Capcom Fighting Collection - Aka The Darkstalkers Collection. Got this for My Switch too. The collection is mostly Darkstalkers (all of them in fact,), but it also has other fighting games too, such as Hyper Street Fighter II and Super Gem Fighter.

Capcom Arcade Stadium 2  - Downloaded this for my Seitch. Digitslly bought 3 games  for this thing - Saturday Night Slam Masters and the 2 Mega Man Arcade Games.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - This game, as well as Turtles in Time, are part of the Cowabunga Collection. I, and many other gamers, were super excited to finally have this game playable on the home consoles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time - Inferior to the SNES version, which is also on the Cowabunga Collection. The only thing going for this over it's SNES Counterpart is the 4-player mode. And yeah, I have this collection on the Nintendo Switch.

Marvel v. Capcom Fighting Collection - My Final Game. Got it for X-Mas of 2025 for the Switch. Out of all of the Collections, this is the one I wanted most. It has all of the Classic Marvel v. Capcom games, as well as The Punisher beat'em-up.

Games I Played Through Emulation (Both PC and Console Download)

Mega Man: The Power Battles -  I loved the concept of  battling Robot Masters without going through their stages. That's what artracted me to this game and it's Sequel, The Power Fighters.

Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters - It's the Power Battles, with Special Attacks added.

Marvel v Capcom - I played/have the previous entries of this V.S. Series on my Playstation, I could never find this game at my local Gamestop, so I downloaded the Arcade Version for my MAME Emulator for my PC.

Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior's Dreams.- I played Alpha 2 Gold, which was my gateway into the Street Fighter Alpha Series, so I downloaded this game and the next 2. Keep in mind this was years before I bought the Alpha Anthology for the PS2. I enjoyed this one, despite it being a minimalistic Alpha 2.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 - I only downloaded this game to experience the differences between This and Alpha 2 Gold. There wasn't much to this game, as it was a Vanilla Version of Alpha 2 Gold.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Street Fighter Alpha 3 is a great game and my favorite of the Alpha Series. The PS1 Version, which I would get later, is the superior version.

Final Fight - The 1989 Beat'em-Up Classic is one of the best. I never had a chance to play the game until I downloaded it. Final Fight is the Holy Tetrology of Retro Beat'em-Up Franchises, alongside Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, and Ninja Turtles.

Street Fighter - I downloaded this as a curiosity on how the Original Street Fighter Game was. It kinda sucked. The play control was bad and the character speed was slow. Plus, the Special Moves are very tough to pull off. Skip this and go straight to 2.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo - I dunno. I guess I just felt like adding this game to my MAME Emulator Library, despite me playing and owning this title via The PS1 Street Fighter Collection.

Street Fighter: The Movie - I experienced the PS1 Version and knew that it's Arcade Counterpart was pretty different, So, I downloaded the game and played it for the first time. Verdict - The Arcade is Superior, it's quicker and the CPU Doesn't suck.

Darkstalkers - This was a game series I always wanted to experience. And when I downloaded it, I had a blast with it's crazy cast of unique horrir-based characters

Super Puzzle Fighter II - I was intrigued by this game, since it was a Puzzle Game, and I liked Puzzle Games. Long story short - This game destroyed me. One of the toughest Puzzle Games I've ever played.

Super Gem Fighter - It's Darkstalkers v. Street Fighter, but with Gems...and Chibified. This is the Closest thing we have to a True Darkstalkers v. Street Fighter game.

Fatal Fury - I played the 2nd game, so I felt the need to try the 1st. Overall, it's a pretty tough fighting game with the least variety out of all of the Fatal Fury titles..

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - This title was My personal favorite Arcade game, so it was a No Brainer that I downloaded this.

Fatal Fury Special - Downladed this via The Nintendo Switch e-Shop. It's a tough fighting game that's, unlike the Console Versions, is true to the Arcade Original. In fact, I think this IS the Arcade Version.

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 - Also downloaded this on the Switch e-Shop. I never played this gsme, up until I got it, so this was a new experience. I found the gsme to be pretty tough, but also a bit fair

And that's pretty much it for this edition of Master List. Until Next Time, Resist Modern Attitudes and Stay Gold.
